featuring such beloved fairytale characters as “flesh-colored humpty dumpty,” “heterosexual couple,” and “cat with CTE”

From a song that was truly so unlistenable I paused the movie with a genuine surge of fear, why I’m still not quite sure, to getting to see Humpty Dumpty’s mangled, lifeless corpse under a bridge, this movie gives you everything you don’t want

unfortunately i used to enjoy this movie as a child

Wow, if I had a nickel for every time there was an animated film featuring Humpty Dumpty and two characters named Jack and Jill, I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird how it happened twice, right?
Inb4 a friend of mine says “THE TWO NICKELS MEME IS A CONSPIRACY” even though he himself is fueling it by saying this.

I used to watch this movie A LOT. Not at Christmas, but year-round. I can picture the VHS clamshell like an old friend. But I haven’t seen it in a long time, probably close to 20 years if I’m honest, and now that I’m grown my childhood crush on both Tom and Mary makes so much sense to me. Put this down as one of my Roots, whatever that says about me.

This movie fucked me up as a kid. Like I always remembered it hauntingly. I watched it again during the pandemic at some point and all I remember was still being shaken. I don't even remember the specifics even though I saw it 3 years ago. I must have blocked the memory I just think of it and feel fear.

Was this a children’s horror film???

I wanted to go home while I watched this, and I was in my own living room.
Disturbing animation and story wise. Basically a propaganda film for children. -
Review by Sparks Lowry ★★
Was interested to see what Don Bluth's brother had in store for the animation world. While he's certainly not Golden Films-tier he's definitely not up to the standards of ol' Don (well, maybe latter-day Don). Kinda fascinated by the phenomenon of Babes in Toyland at least but this is mostly pretty boring.

You’re probably asking. What is this? Why are you watching this? Are you okay? It’s because I’m fucking better than you. I’ve seen movies you’ll never fucking hear about, the most obscure pieces of human creation. My references are off the mf chart and y’all can’t even come close to this shit. I watched this movie because I can and no one on this godforsaken earth can tell me otherwise or even try to stop me
